Market Opportunity

Demand for dependable electricity is changing. In its September 2026 Short-Term Energy Outlook, the U.S. Energy Information Administration forecasts record U.S. electricity sales in 2026 and 2027, citing data center development and increased manufacturing activity among the drivers. A forecast of demand does not establish that a particular project will be built or prove economically viable.

Gas Gang’s analysis focuses on the requirements for moving an infrastructure project from concept to operation. A proposed generation or energy asset may need suitable equipment, fuel supply, permits, interconnection, experienced operators, financing, and customers prepared to enter into durable commercial agreements. The availability, cost, and timing of each element can affect whether a transaction is feasible.

Gas Gang intends to evaluate natural gas, power generation, and related infrastructure through the assets and commercial arrangements involved in each transaction. Depending on the project, these may include power purchase agreements, tolling arrangements, capacity or availability payments, transportation and storage contracts, equipment leases, and offtake agreements.

Proposed transactions may involve ownership interests, project debt, equipment finance, leases, or joint ventures through separately organized vehicles. The structure considered for a transaction will depend on its assets, counterparties, contracts, and risks.

Gas Gang expects to consider whether a proposed investment has a credible path to construction or operation; whether its contracts address material commercial risks; and whether its counterparties can meet their obligations. The analysis may also include fuel availability, permitting, interconnection, equipment delivery, operating costs, and financing conditions.

These considerations cannot eliminate investment risk. Contracted revenue does not guarantee payment or protect against construction delays, counterparty default, regulatory changes, commodity exposure, or other losses. Gas Gang may decide not to pursue a transaction even where demand for the underlying infrastructure appears strong.
